How to Throw a Red Carpet Worthy Event
How to Throw a Red Carpet-Worthy Event
Last month, we celebrated the premiere of the Empowered documentary, which featured our amazing founder, Robin Fisher, as she spoke about our mission to connect people through spaces, events, and vendors. It was such a smashing success that we thought we could share some tips for throwing a Hollywood-inspired red carpet event.
Choosing Your Theme
Anyone can host a get-together, but choosing a strong theme and sticking to it means the difference between any old party and an unforgettable event. Choosing a strong theme provides a creative outline, which makes for a dazzling event. Your guests will be amazed and inspired by the creativity that surrounds them, but they’ll also enjoy the thought, whimsy, and imagination put into every detail.
Since our theme was Hollywood-inspired, we went for a red carpet spectacle. Our guests made their grand entrance via a branded step and repeat and greeted with champagne by Screaming Queens strolling candelabra girl while well-lit and dynamic photos were captured brilliantly by Valiko Proskurnin.
In order to make our event really sing, we added some intricate touches, such as:
branded cocktail napkins with QR codes.
branded popcorn boxes.
specialty cocktails with fun names.
passed apps inspired by movie theater concessions.
candy girls with big boxes of movie theater style candy
champagne candelabra girl
live portrait artists
Right Place, Right Time
Anyone who’s ever planned an event will tell you that it’s all about the venue! Take a look at our New York and Los Angeles venue options. Since every space is a blank canvas, our extremely talented vendors helped paint the picture with flawless details. Black and red draping by Dazian Fabrics added a more intimate and luxe feel, adding to the illusion of a night at the movie theater.
Vendors Make the Difference
BLACE always works with carefully curated vendors who serve as creative partners for every event, and this was no exception. To set the mood and create a grand movie-theatre-style entrance, Dazian draped the venue in luxe red and black fabric. OnTheMarc Events served Kobe cocktail franks, Nashville hot chicken sliders, and a citrus vodka cocktail called Sip in Thyme, while Ichiban Japanese Catering provided an utterly delicious fresh sushi buffet. Music 2 the Max provided music, ambient lighting, and handled the projection of our videos. Screaming Queens brought a candelabra champagne girl, candy girls, a photo girl who printed shots of guests on demand, and Drawing Booth artists did live portrait drawings of our guests. As you can see, every detail was thought of and executed perfectly thanks to our amazing, creative vendors.
